OPEN GAMES THREAD: It's Sort Of The NCAA Tournament/NIT Scouting Thread

Stay connected for news and updates

Guess what? It's time for some NCAA Tournament basketball! Even if it is just the play-in er, opening round games in Dayton, which started just a few minutes ago. Here's your spot to talk about those.

But wait! There's more! As a bonus, Oklahoma State and Harvard are matching up in the NIT at 4:30 p.m. PDT on ESPN. Why do we care? Because the Cougs will play the winner if they can beat Long Beach State tomorrow night.

Yeah, I gotta be honest -- I've got nothing here. If it weren't sort of the NCAA Tournament, there really would be no reason to pay attention, as KenPom.com rates this as the 18th most potentially exciting game of the night. That's not good when there are only 22 games, and most of those are in the NIT or CBI. For what it's worth, he gives UNC-Ashville a 69 percent chance of victory

So, for all those people who think that Harvard should have been in the NCAA Tournament, did you notice that the Crimson is a six seed in the NIT? Just wondering. However, I'm actually pretty interested in this game, if for no other reason than there's the chance for Harvard to get slapped around.

Two teams that nobody thinks belongs! Which team will prove that it doesn't belong less? Tune in to find out!
