Pac-12 Media Day Schedule: Paul Wulff, Jared Karstetter Up At 10:20 A.M.

Could you kindly point me in the direction of the Men's room?

Rise and shine, campers; Pac-12 Media Day is upon us. For the second year in a row, the Pac-12 will be holding a three-day, bi-coastal media extravaganza. The festivities begin at 9am and run until 12:30pm. Later today, players and coaches will hop on a plane headed for New York City (Wednesday), and end their East Coast trip by visiting ESPN Headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut on Thursday.

Paul Wulff has brought along one of his star WRs, Finas Rabb Jared Karstetter. The senior from Spokane seems like an appropriate choice; Karstetter was the feather in Wulff's 2008 recruiting class cap, his first as Head Coach in Pullman. The pair will step up to the podium at 10:20am, and speak for roughly 15 minutes. Conveniently, the two are scheduled right before a bathroom break.

You can follow the Pac-12 on twitter or watch the live feed on their website. If you're interested in seeing the rest of the schedule, it's posted after the jump.

Star-divide

The press conference will begin with an opening statement from everyone's favorite honorary Coug, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott.

Same ol' "We'll release a statement when all the smoke has cleared"

But it sounded better than most situations where it’s used. Apparently they’re hiring a law firm to look into it too. But the media members there continued to ask and the “We’d love to answer the question once we get all the information” was his answer. They were kinda being dicks about it, but I get why they have to ask.

Ok, so...

This is just fantastic.

Pac-12 Football “Sizzle” Video.

Just fantastic. They don’t focus on just one or two teams like in years past. Every school gets recognition, and they “introduce” Colorado and Utah. Just a great video, and I’m pretty pumped.

Totally forgot about the new penalty for excessive celebration.

Taking away the TD. That is honestly the most ridiculous rule in the history of sports. There’s gonna be a team who loses a game because of this.

Just so you know

You’re not the only one in here, Kyle! Also, I totally agree. But then, I pretty much disagree with any rule concerning the suppression of celebrations, I love celebrations.

My idea has always been: Give the unit that scored 10 seconds to do whatever they want in a celebration. Let the kids have fun. Anything past 10 seconds gets penalized.

It is so stupid

How will it be enforced? What is defined as “excessive?” The NCAA has bigger problems to worry about, IMO.

i'm assuming it will be enforced thusly

giving a record breaking gameball to your mother who never gets to see you play: no touchdown

giving the ball to snoop dogg: touchdown stands

Typical NCAA

refusing to do anything the easy or right way.

anybody else having video issues?

I’ve tried IE and Firefox, and it says video not available?? Any ideas?

by MVCoug on Jul 26, 2011 10:25 AM PDT reply actions

Just to reiterate

they’re about 30 minutes or so behind schedule. Wulff and Karstetter probably won’t go on until ~11, and Grippi has stated he thinks they’ll get cut short.

Those Pac-12 videos, got me all pumped up!

I’m ready for the season to start right now. September 3rd can not come soon enough!
