Cedric Dozier to visit UW.
Looks UW jumped back in the race by finally giving in and recruiting him as a WR.

I think they are doing that so they could still get him as CB.

UW is looking to offer him at WR, may or may not keep Rector per scout.
With UW looking at him for WR I’d say our chances just went from about slim to none. Damn.
This just goes to see how desperate they are
Stepping in and offering him what he wants. whether or not he says it, i think he’ll still much rather prefer wazzu over uw on this one. he’s already seen what they wanted him for, and if he’s smart would know that uw is just getting desperate now. uw wont give him as much of a chance at WR than we would. mike leach, pass-crazy offense, he probly knows he gets many more touches with the cougs
After a year or so do you think these guys will care if they weren't the school's original first choice?
It’ll be water under the bridge in no time.

"whether or not he says it, i think he’ll still much rather prefer wazzu over uw on this one."
100% disagree.
It’s well established that the only reason he was considering WSU was because we told him he could play WR. UW hired Cal’s WR coach, who helped recruit him to Cal in the first place. Them getting desperate has nothing to do with the fact that this basically eliminates our chances for him.
I get that you don’t like UW. I don’t either. But you need to look at this through non Crimson colored glasses.

Crimson colored glasses is a tribute band for Elton John.

I see your point there
But also look at the opportunities presented by both schools. not sayin this because i am coug, but rather tryin my best to see it through what he might see. yes, uw does throw around the ball and it seems as though maybe they’ll be doing a little more of that after that baylor game. wsu on the other hand, he’ll get the ball…and that’s guaranteed. he gets the chance to make a difference, to be a big piece of the offense. i am by no means saying that in the end he’d pick wsu, i’m just saying that in ‘my’ opinion, he seems he’d fit better with wsu than uw
I'll forgive the reply fail.
But how do you know that it’s a guarantee he’ll get the ball more at WSU? Just because Leach wants to throw it more? There’s no guarantee he beats out the other WRs on the depth chart. I admit WSU looks better from a “holy cow they throw it a ton” standpoint, but it’s not like UW runs the Wing-T. Price is going to be down a few receivers with Kearse and Aguilar gone. There’s a lot that goes into deciding where a player goes. There’s simply no way you can say you think he prefers WSU at this point.

Based on past posts here given the Mike Leach's pass distribution
shows that even if he is 5-7 on the depth chart, he’ll get his chance for some receptions early on in his career.
Thizz or die.
You're right that getting the ball more isn't a guarantee
And the fact that i shouldn’t say he prefers wazzu. uw may be down receivers, which bodes him well. and yes, it’s not smart just to put him in the lineup as of right now, that we don’t know if he’d beat out the other guys for spot on the field. none of that can be known til it happens, so my apologies for somewhat assuming. i’d still like to point out though, without knowing where he’d be put in on the roster for either team, that by looking at nothing except for the respected offenses, wsu ‘only’ feels like it would fit him better. not saying uw might not be the better choice when all said and done, so who knows. this is all just me, and i only hold myself to representing me, so i may be wrong and i’m alright with that

???
Does it really matter that much? I feel like this thread isn’t going to spin out of control or anything…
I’ve seen tons of posts just critiquing the way others compose their posts. I’m sorry but is there a link on the front page explaining the etiquette Cougcenter members are supposed to abide by?

Yes, it does matter that much.

Yes, it matters.
Otherwise, why would some handsome dude have taken the time to put it in the Community Guidelines that you so cavalierly ignored when you signed up for your account?

my bad
not really a computer geek here, wasn’t still exactly sure of how that works. just so i’m not out of line with the others here from now on, if you’re kind enough it’d be nice to know how to highlight
Do you mean how to do this?
if you’re kind enough it’d be nice to know how to highlight
Highlight the text you want , right click copy (or whatever Mac function that is), click down to the comment box here (after typing something in the subject line), click the ( " ) icon, click in between the >< symbols, paste, and viola. Hit preview to make sure you did what you wanted, hit post.
Probably not necessary. He did apologize.
I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. Ugh
You are right. I'm an idiot. Now I apologize.

I have faith in Leach
The guy bleeds charisma. Just picked up “Swing Your Sword” today and his philosophies on being a coach and a mentor just work. His offense is prolific and even if he hasn’t run a play with the Cougs yet anybody who knows their stuff would know that receivers will do well in his system.
If anyone can get this guy it’s Leach. Call it wishful thinking but I have a feeling Wazzu is going to land both Lawler and Dozier come signing day.
