2012 Apple Cup score update: Huskies take 7-3 lead after WSU turnover

The Washington Huskies turned an interception into a touchdown, taking a 7-3 lead in the 2012 Apple Cup.

The Husky drive was setup by an interception by Justin Glenn. The Jeff Tuel pass hit wide receiver Brett Bartolone right in the chest, but Bartolone bobbled the ball as he fell to the ground and the ball bounced into Glenn's arms as he was attempting to tackle Bartolone. The Cougars challenged the ruling on the field, but it was upheld, giving Washington the ball at the WSU 20-yardline.

Washington started the drive well with an 8-yard reception by DiAndre Campbell. A Bishop Sankey short gain set the Huskies up with a third-and-1 from the WSU 11-yardline. The Huskies faked a run and Keith Price found Austin Seferian-Jenkins for the touchdown.

The drive was the first significant success the Huskies have had on offense. They were unable to move the ball on any of their first three drives.
