After the Huskies took a 7-3 lead, the Washington State Cougars answered back with a touchdown drive of their own to re-take the lead in the 2012 Apple Cup.

The score was setup by a huge pass completion from Jeff Tuel to Dominique Williams. After Bobby Ratliff dropped a potential first down on 2nd-and-13, the Cougars appeared on their way to punting. Then on the third down play, Williams beat his defender and Tuel found him for a 61-yard completion.

The Cougars were able to convert another third down to put the ball at the Husky 1-yardline and Carl Winston scored on a touchdown run two plays later. The touchdown drive was a huge answer for the Cougars who went down 7-3 on the previous possession.

The touchdown drive covered 81 yards in 10 plays with Williams' 61-yard reception accounting for the majority of the yards. Tuel has now thrown for 141 yards in the game with Williams accounting for 94 of those yards.
