The Washington Huskies scored on their first series of the third quarter to take a 14-10 lead in the 2012 Apple Cup.
The drive was by far Washington's best of the game. The Huskies started at their own 11-yardline and were able to dive 89 yards on 13 plays, capped off by a 15-yard touchdown pass from Keith Price to Cody Bruns. The Huskies were able to extend the drive with a key 4th-and-1 conversion.
The Huskies could have scored sooner, but Price overthrew a wide open receiver. Still, he was excellent on the drive, completing 5 of 7 passes for 68 yards and the touchdown. The 89 yard drive nearly equaled Washington's entire first half production. The Huskies gained 96 offensive yards in the entire first half.
Price has now completed 15 of 24 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the game. Sankey has picked up 62 yards on 15 rushing attempts.
