2012 Apple Cup score update: Huskies dominate 3rd quarter, lead 28-10

After trailing 10-7 at halftime, the Washington Huskies scored 21 points in the third quarter and now lead the 2012 Apple Cup 28-10.

The Huskies opened the quarter with their best offensive drive of the game. Washington took a 14-10 lead with a 13 play 89-yard drive. From there, the Husky offense didn't have to do much as they were given prime field position thanks to Washington State turnovers.

Jeff Tuel was sacked and fumbled on the next possession, setting Washington up at the WSU 16-yardline. The Huskies scored four plays later to take a 21-10 lead. WSU would go on to commit two more turnovers in the quarter, the last one proved to be costly. Bobby Ratliff fumbled after a 7-yard reception and UW took over at the WSU 6-yardline. Bishop Sankey scored his second touchdown three plays later to blow the game open 28-10.

After gaining 96 yards in the first half, Washington racked up 116 yards in the third quarter.
