Hot Cougar Action: Monday morning trivia

WSU Athletic Communications

It's time, it's time, it's time for the dancing Dawgs Monday morning trivia question.

With the end of football season, the Monday morning trivia contest officially shifts focus to basketball season. It's been a while since I updated the standings, so before we get to today's questions, lets take a look at where things stand.

Current Standings
1. Shellin - 80
2. SpectreFCO - 65
3. Blackie1829 - 55
4. HitKing69 - 45
5. Nick McD - 30
T6. Coug999 - 20
T6. olypencoug - 20
T8. RochestieForThree - 15
T8. Jeff Nusser - 15
T10. Bearcat44 - 10
T10. Klokkins - 10
T10. Spokanistan - 10
T10. B-Lot tailgater - 10
T10. PullManiac - 10
T15. JVanWSU - 5
T15. newportcoug - 5
T15. Kyle Sherwood - 5
T15. burningsnowmans - 5

Shellin has built a lead, but hardly one that is insurmountable. Nusser currently holds a slight lead over Sherwood for author bragging rights while last year's MMTC winner, SoCalCoug is yet to get on the scoreboard this season. At this point, him coming back to win may be more impressive than WSU's 18-point comeback in the Apple Cup. Onto the questions.

Q1: Brock Motum is currently averaging 16.0 points per game. Who was the last WSU senior to average at least 15.0 PPG?

Q2: Motum led the Pac-12 in scoring last season. Name the three other WSU players to lead the conference in scoring since 1970.

Andrew Furney, K, Washington State: The kicker was absolutely nails in the Apple Cup, converting all three of his field goal attempts, including a 45-yard game-tying field goal late in the fourth and the game-winner in overtime. He also hit a 21-yard kick to open the scoring in the Cougars' 31-28 win.
