Come discuss and watch the Cougars take on the Pilots in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Washington St. Cougars women's soccer team opens NCAA Tournament play against a tough opponent in a tough place to play. They'll take on the Pilots at 7:00 p.m. at Merlo Field where the No. 4 Portland Pilots pack in a nation high 3,397 fans a contest. Expect that number to be much higher for an opening round tournament game. This is going to be a game the Cougars grind out in the offensive and defensive third of the field and play as mistake free as they have all year.
No NCAA Tournament game is ever easy but in an environment as tough as Merlo Field against a team as good as the Pilots, this could be the most difficult opening round game the Cougs have ever faced. This is bound to be a good one and I anticipate your blood pressure soaring through the roof.
