The return of the Sonics my ass.
Unless the team that currently plays in OKC is reinstalled in Seattle there is no “return”, simply a substitute plugged into Sonic unis.
Not sure what the difference is?
The Sonics history is all in Seattle.

“Shared history.”
During last year’s playoffs they were talking about the late 90s Sonics run as part of OKC’s past playoffs.

I bet the Browns fans were pissed to all ends
When the Ravens went off and won the Super Bowl. The crappy Browns left, became a consistently dominant team as the Ravens and then the crappy expansion Browns came to town.

You can pretend TNT announcers are the authority on this all you want, but the reality is Seattle has the trophy and the banners. Any team playing in Seattle called the Sonics is going to be recognized as such.

At the end of the day aren't we all just rooting for laundry.
The only consistent thing about pro sports are the fans and the team name. The team that comes to Seattle will be for all intents and purposes the exact same as the one that left.

Exactly! OKC is never coming back to Seattle, that’s just asinine and unrealistic. You can’t live in the past and just be excited for the future.
