2012 Apple Cup Kickoff Set For 12:30 PM

Stay connected for news and updates

When word first came out that the 2012 Apple Cup was scheduled for the Friday after Thanksgiving, most fans were less than pleased. Now that the game has a reported start time of 12:30 p.m. PT, those fans aren't likely to be any happier.

A black Friday Apple Cup already makes travel difficult, especially for those coming from Western Washington, but a 12:30 p.m. start time will only make it more of a challenge. Those planning to head to Pullman from Seattle the day of the game will now get to enjoy a wake-up call in the neighborhood of 3 a.m. PT.

The start time does, however, come with some good news for fans not planning to attend the game. The Apple Cup will be broadcast on either Fox or FX which means there is the possibility Gus Johnson will call the game.

In other scheduling news, WSU's home opener against Eastern Washington will kickoff at 12 p.m. PT and be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
