I am extremely optimistic about the Cougs this year. We finally have the skill and depth to compete week in and week out with other teams around the Pac-12. Playing Auburn first is fantastic because both programs are in very similar circumstances right now. However, I think WSU is one year ahead. Last year Leach had to clean house and drag a lot of players along all season. This year I expect a lot more energy and swagger around the program, hopefully resulting in a more competitive Cougar team.
My two main worries for this team are the O-Line and the Secondary. Sure the O-Line has more depth, but that doesn't mean much unless all of those guys can actually compete in the Pac-12. The secondary has almost everyone returning, but last year they weren't exactly stellar. I hope to see improvement in both areas this year, as both of them will be critical to a successful season. The O-Line is going to be extremely important against the big SEC boys of Auburn, so they get their test right away. Go Cougs!
