College football preview season is in full swing and that includes at SB Nation. Bill Connelly hasn't begun previewing the Pac-12 yet, but the studio did with Spencer Hall and Bud Elliott joining Dan Rubenstein for a Pac-12 preview edition of Easy Call.
It's difficult to cover all 12 teams in depth in five minutes, so more than a few teams don't get a mention. WSU is not one of those teams, however, with Spencer choosing the Cougars to be his biggest riser. Now, he prefaced it by saying the bar isn't exactly high, but we'll take it. The return of skill position players and a favorable schedule were part of the reasoning in picking WSU.

Washington State: Xavier Cooper is moving inside to tackle, leaving the end spots up for grabs. Toni Pole and Destiny Vaeao will fit on the outside with Robert Barber and Lyman Faoliu taking some reps as well. There's just not enough experience or production (with too much of a history of not being consistently strong up front) to say this is anything other than a group that has lots of unproven potential.
We're a little over five months away from the first Pac-12 championship game at Levi's Stadium, but it's not too early to bet on who will be there -- and other things, of course.
They won’t be sneaking up on anyone this year. Last year, the Cougars came into Arizona Stadium as 11-point underdogs and left with a 24-17 win.
