Washington State Basketball Recruiting Chart
Hey Cougars,
I used to keep up a NC State Basketball Recruiting Chart over at PackPride (the NC State Scout boards) which combined all the links and ratings from Scout, ESPN, and Rivals. It got difficult to maintain by hand, so I automated the process, and threw a basic UI together and put it up on the web. I did the same for all the other schools while I was automating it. I threw in YouTube highlights and Twitter feeds for every ranked recruit that I could find, and added the depth chart at the recruits position for each of their offers.
I started cleaning up the rosters on the ACC teams first, and then moved on to the rest of the BCS conferences.
BTW, I haven't gotten to validating the active rosters for schools outside the BCS conferences yet, so that data will be inaccurate due to red-shirts, prep schools, junior colleges and transfers.
Obviously this info does not contain any of the great inside info that you get here at Coug Center, as they'll have all the latest and greatest on Washington State Hoops, but it might make a nice compliment to the info you're getting here. It's more of a 10,000 foot view if that makes sense.
Anyway, here is the Washington State page and a couple of your recruits' profile pages, (you can navigate to other schools at the top, its a bit wonky, but it should work if you select the team then hit the "Go!" button).
Let me know if you see any corrections, or have any questions. Hope you enjoy!

Quick Saturday Scrimmage Recap PLUS Stadium Renovation Update
First things first, That's a panorama of the renovation progress that I took this afternoon. Apparently they are working weekends now, as they were still at work at 5 when I left the baseball game.
Now onto the scrimmage:

Thursday Practice Notes
If I remember correctly, Brian said that he wasn't going to be at Thursday practices, but since I was there I figured I'd put a short post together. Keep in mind, I wasn't there the entire time; it was probably a little more than an hour. I'm also not as seasoned of a writer as Brian. So here goes:

Wulff for the Montana job?
Katie Dorsey of the Tri-City Herald speculates that Wulff might be a potential candidate to replace Robin Pflugrad as Montana's head coach.
One of Wulff's biggest selling points for keeping his job at WSU was that he cleaned up the program after it went off the rails because of academic sanctions and off-field issues. It wasn't perfect at WSU when Wulff was there, sure. But with two Montana players accused of sexual assault, the Grizzlies might be more inclined to pick a coach who can straighten out the program, though they are not saying that was the reason for the firings of Pflugrad and Day.
I really hope something good happens for the man. He deserves it.
Practice Bullets
I'm sure I wasn't the only one at practice, but I figured I would just share some stuff. First off, I should describe the setting. So it was raining but not too windy and not a heavy rain. Essentially it was an average Seattle day. Setting described. On to bullets. My goal is for these to be "fun" bullets. But Leach didn't waddle around on his knees ever, so I don't have the best material.

WSU's next 3 years in season b-ball tournaments
I was listening to "Cougar Calls with Bill Moos" this morning on my way work. Bill has got the Cougs in some great tournaments the next 3 seasons. Next year they will be playing in The CBE (College Basketball Experience), meaning they will host 2 smaller programs. After that they advance (regardless of outcomes) to St Louis, the final 4 teams will be WSU, Texas A&M, St Louis, and Kansas. The following season they will be playing in The Puerto Rico Tip-Off, and then during the 2014/15 season the Cougs will be playing in The Diamond Head Classic. Sounds pretty cool to me, now let's just hope this team will be ready to compete. Go Cougs!

Cougar Football Entrance Music...
I have witnessed the Wisconsin and Virginia Tech music that they play as their team comes on the field during home games and thought it was just awesome. The fans go nuts! I would love to have something like that for the Cougs! I can't seem to find that perfect song but I think that really it does not matter that much - as long as it is ours it will be awesome. Anyone have any thoughts? Not sure if this has been brought up here before or if this is the right place but I thought I would throw it out there. Honestly I have not been to a home game in a long time so their might even be one already...
Here are a few that I like but don't love... Things I think about at the gym...
Seven Nation Army - thought the base would be great for highlight hits and just general stomping/clapping
Headstrong - I think that this is kind of the Cougar mentality... "I'll take on anyone..."
Black Betty - I had this whole idea of a Pirate Ship called Black Betty but maybe the "she gets me high" line might not go over too well right now...
Anyway I know some of these are dated but so are the Virginia Tech and Wisconsin songs...
And just to be clear... I am not "that" SoCalCoug. I kind of accidentally highjacked his name when I joined the site. I was born in Pullman and live in the Los Angeles area... hence the name.

Solar Storm Earth Bound
As some of us geeks and nerds out there like to look at sports, stats, and beer, there are times that we focus ourselves to space.
