Grippi's morning story on Bone hiring

From the guy who broke the story today, a few more nuggets. Including: -- A WSU source who says he's "the right guy for us" who is "a great fit here." -- Xavier Thames' personal spokesman, er, dad, not exactly giving a ringing endorsement for the hire. -- Sterk saying he thinks there is a good chance of assistants being retained.

Grippi on at 2:50 p.m. PDT with KJR-950's Ian Furness

If you want the first word, this is the place to go. We'll have the on-demand up afterwards if it's made available. Hat tip to BornCoug for the heads up. EDIT, 4:37 p.m.: If you missed it, you can catch it on-demand here.

Koprivica, Lodwick speak to Grippi about feelings, search

The players have been pretty quiet, but there's this nice story from Vince on this whole mess from the players' perspective.

Nik Koprivica on KJR today at 1:35 p.m. PDT

He'll be on with Coug Ian Furness, who interviewed Sterk yesterday. Should be insightful. You can listen online by visiting the link above, then clicking "Listen Live" in the upper lefthand corner.

Mychal Thompson on KJR right now

He's on the air right now if you're near a radio, or if you want to get a stream EDIT, 9:04 a.m.: The interview was short, and it's done. I kind of hit on the highlights in the comments, and I'll post the on-demand link if there is one here's the on-demand link from KJR if you want to give a listen yourself.

Cougfan: Simon holding tight, recap of Sterk KJR interview

In this free story, Cougfan checked in with Patrick Simon, the big-time recruit out of Ephrata who committed to the Cougs as a freshman, and it sounds like he still feels good about being a Coug. (Although, like most, he's taking a wait-and-see approach.) They also recapped the major points of the Sterk interview, which I didn't have time to do.

Jim Sterk on KJR at 2:05 p.m. PDT

Sterk is going to be interviewed by Coug Ian Furness, and I expect him to ask some tough questions. If you're outside the Seattle area, you can click on the above link and listen live over your computer. UPDATE, 2:56 p.m.: If you missed the interview, you can catch it here on-demand. Thanks to Ian and his producer, Brian Lambert, for the quick turnaround on the link.
