Klay Thompson will return to WSU this weekend and will be appearing at the Cougar Athletic Fund's Friday at the 50 event. Thompson will bring the O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy from the bay. He will also be joined by athletic director Bill Moos and basketball coach Ernie Kent.
The event will be held this Friday at Rankich Club Room in Martin Stadium. All CAF members are invited and all you need to do if you already are a member is register here.
It's cool to see one of WSU's most famous recent alums to come back and get involved with the school. Not all NBA All-Stars take time out of their busy summer to come back and schmooze with alumni before a football game. Even fewer bring the O'Brien trophy with them.
This is a really cool opportunity and I imagine people will be quick to register. Hats off to Moos and the CAF for getting this event set up. I'm sure they hope that the deep pocketed alums are as impressed as I am.
