A week from now is going to be a lot more fun than right now.

As of this moment, there are 7 days and 11 hours until WSU kicks off against Auburn. Here are a few things you can do to pass the time until then.

The season is almost here.

Football:

Probably the most puzzling of the unannounced teams is Washington State, where it appears that Mike Leach is just going to make season-opening opponent Auburn wait awhile longer to know for sure. But junior Connor Halliday is pretty much a lock.

To have a potent air attack offense, you need a good quarterback and plenty of weapons for him to throw to.

Auburn:

WSU won't have the excuse of playing the most freshman against Auburn as the Tigers could use as many as eight true freshman against the Cougars.

Gus Malzahn will finalize his plans next week, but early returns show the Auburn coach will likely rely on more than a handful of freshmen. In fact, "there will be a quite a few" on the field when the Tigers open the season Aug. 31 against Washington State, he revealed Thursday.

Now that Auburn has wrapped up its first training camp and started preparing for Washington State, the attention and coverage will turn to the Cougars for the week leading up to next week's season-opener.

Football recruiting:

WSU landed a verbal commitment from Frank Luvu on Friday, a linebacker out of American Samoa. We'll have more on him shortly.
