Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE

Daquawn Brown is a 3-star CB from Dorsey HS in Los Angeles. The addition of the cover corner is a tremendous boost to a secondary who needs all the help it can get.

According to CF.c, CB Daquawn Brown has verbally committed to the Washington State Cougars. Brown hails from Los Angeles' Dorsey HS, home of LB Jeremiah Allison. Brown took an official visit to Pullman on November 10th against UCLA, but I think we all remember that day because it was my wedding. That's probably why he really committed, guys.

What I really like is how he high points the ball. They teach you to do that as a WR, and a lot of guys play CB because their hands aren't good enough to play on offense. Brown has WR tendencies, and that's awesome. He's also a very stout tackler from the corner, which can't be said for a lot of guys.

I'm not sure what his official 40 time is, but he's really quick. Brown is a guy a lot of other schools would have liked, including UW. He took his official visit to Montlake this past weekend, but committed to WSU today. Was it because I graduated this weekend? Probably. This one is all me, guys.

Other than the Huskies, Brown had offers from three other Pac-12 schools. Overall, he had offers from us, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal, Hawaii, San Jose State, UCLA, and UW. I suppose this is where I should say "LOL U MAD UW?" but instead, let's just all marvel at Ruth Robbins:

In any event, I'm just really happy Brown is in the fold. Really nice player who will help out our secondary quite a bit.
