WSU VS. SACRAMENTO STATE RECAP: Charts And Awards

After glancing at this, be sure to read Craig's more thorough [read: better] recap below.

WSU's lead was deemed statistically safe with 15:51 left to play in the game. That's nasty.

Player of the Game: Faisal Aden - Lots of possibilities in this game, but I like how Aden did a little bit of everything, including defense. 11 points, 4 boards, 2 assists, 3 steals, 50% shooting.

Right Hand Man: Klay Thompson - Don't worry, he'll get the glory on the AP recap for his game-high 16 points. But it's the five assists (versus one turnover) that are the real highlight of his performance.

Unsung Hero: Ben Loewen - 2 of 3 from three, 8 points, 1 steal and no turnovers in what I can only assume was a career-high 14 minutes.

NCAA FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE LEADER - Brock Motum. I'm not going to bother stat-checking that. I'm just going to assume his 5-for-5 sealed it. Deal with it.

Play of the Game - Will DiIorio's baseline jam. I didn't see it, but I wish I had. Hat tip to Coug999.

It was over when - The Cougs stepped on the floor. Ooooh... that's a burn, Sac State.

Stat of the Game - I'm going with that 27-0 run to start the game. More unconventionally, the 53.3 offensive efficiency rating WSU held SSU to. That's ridiculous. Now that our defense has performed incredibly we should go over to the new UVa SBN blog and disrespect Tony Bennett.
