You might have noticed we don't do a heck of a lot around here with spring football practices, something that may or may not be to your liking. The reality is this: It just doesn't mean that much in the grand scheme of things. Unless a guy suffers an injury that will keep him out for a year. Then it means something.
Is it important to the development of the team? It must be, since coaches are willing to risk catastrophic injuries for the sake of a dozen practices and three scrimmages. But in terms of what we, as fans, can truly learn from it, and in terms of what we at CougCenter can analyze in a meaningful way? There just isn't a lot there for us to write about, especially since we don't get to see any of it first hand.
So generally, unless larger news warrants deeper analysis, we'll just settle for passing along observations from others. Here's your coverage from day three:
- WSU gets a little help from unlikely sources - SportsLink - Spokesman.com
- WSU Spring Ball, Day Three Roundup - WSU Football Blog
- WSU Football | Five changes in spring practice for the Cougs - Examiner.com
Remember, you also can find the schedule for spring here. We should have more to pass along to you tomorrow, as they have another workout today. They'll take Wednesday off, then workout again on Thursday.
