Today is a big day for us.
As I said in my call for community members to join our recruiting coverage team -- by the way, if you're thinking about joining us, there's still room on the bus -- we've been working on a number of projects to bring you better recruiting coverage. Today, you get to see the firstfruits of that labor.
Introducing WSU Football Recruiting Central.
If you're into recruiting, you're going to want to bookmark this one. This page is your new one-stop shop for just about everything freely available on the Internet related to Washington State University football recruiting.
There are other places that specialize in recruiting coverage, but they've got one major weakness that we are more than willing to exploit: They're proprietary, and as such, they only give you their stuff. Us? We'll bring you everything. Our only allegiance is to you guys, not to some parent company that doesn't like us talking about the other guys.
Here's what you'll find on the page if you've made it this far and haven't already clicked over there:
-
A table listing everything you need to know about each verbal commit to the Cougs. You'll find relevant measurables, evaluations and rankings of each player from all three major recruiting services, as well as links to all their player pages on the recruiting services' sites. It's a quick and dirty way to get a good overall picture of each player's evaluation. We'll also be adding links to our Coug Commit features as we complete them, and update information as evaluations change.
- A filterable table to analyze the class. Want to see which recruit might be the next great running back? Just drop down the offensive position menu to RB and you'll see all those guys. Want to see just the three-star players? Same deal. Curious if we have any four-star running backs from California? You can get that specific.
- A map plotting the hometown of each recruit. This is just more fun than anything else, but will give you a quick visual sense of where our commits are coming from.
- A table listing every possible free resource we could find on each commit. Want to know what all the fuss is about with Bishop Sankey? There are already about five videos linked there that will show you. The lists will be continuously updated as we find more stuff.
Essentially, this page will be your hub for all the relevant information relating to each verbal commit to WSU's football program. Start there, and you should be able to find what you're looking for, whatever it is.
We sure hope you like it. If you want to give us some feedback, have some ideas, notice an error or find something we should add to the page, you can shoot us an e-mail at any point along the way.
