Before I go any farther, I want to thank Brian for making Grady, Craig and I look very smart over the past three weeks. In our absence -- me because the end of the year kicked my butt and then I went on vacation and then I had to catch up from being on vacation, Craig because of a computer meltdown and Grady because of work/moving -- he more than held down the fort; he absolutely carried us. What a stud. His back must be killing him. (From carrying us. Get it? Never mind.)
That said, I'm finally to a point where I can finally get back into CougCenter the way I want to. Whew.
That starts today -- we've gone through and updated everything that needed updating with WSU Football Recruiting Central. Rivals updated their ratings, so Craig added those to the master list; I was able to track down some stories that were written on some guys (notably the Orlando guys and Brock Lutes), so I added those to the resource lists; and I updated the map (which, incidentally, looks crazy now with all the recruits from thousands of miles away). If you haven't been to the page in a while, check it out.
Football season is right around the corner, so my personal goal between now and then is to get caught up on all of our Coug Commit features between now and the beginning of training camp. Then we'll ramp up our positional previews throughout August. We'll also have a little series of features starting next week on being a fan at WSU, so be on the lookout for that.
Last thing: Don't forget about the CougCenter meet-up tonight at the SB Nation Seattle launch party. If you want more info, you can find that here. And if you haven't been to the new site yet, do that now. These regional sites, which I have the pleasure of reading for four hours every night, are very cool.
