Junior college transfer Faisal Aden is in street clothes tonight and won't play as the Washington State Cougars take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in Pullman. Aden has been bothered by a leg injury suffered almost two months ago, ahead of the Gonzaga game in Pullman.
Vince Grippi tweeted the news from Friel Court. If you aren't already, follow him on Twitter.
Faisal Aden is in street clothes. He practiced Tuesday, sat out much of Wednesday but didn't expect his leg problem to sideline him.
So, now is probably a good time for Reggie Moore to be back in the lineup. With Aden on the bench, the Cougs lose their sixth man for at least tonight, and hopefully not longer.
It will be interesting to see how the offense and defense operate without Aden on the floor. As we've said before, the amount of possessions Aden has been using, along with some questionable shot selections, has been frustrating for fans at home. That's been compounded by shots that were going in early in the season not falling now as regression rears its ugly head. For more, check out Grippi's notebook on Aden's role with the team.
Washington State and Arizona State tip-off tonight at 7 p.m.
