We still don't know what, exactly, is going on as far as Paul Wulff's status goes, but we'll have some kind of firm resolution on Tuesday. Bill Moos has called a press conference to "discuss the future of Cougar football" at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in Pullman. The press conference should end days of speculation about Wulff's job and his future as head coach of the Washington State Cougars.
Throughout the day, we've heard from both Moos and Wulff, the former by way of Cougar Calls and the latter by way of a small press conference following the Spokane luncheon. And we still don't know what comes next. Wulff and Moos were slated to meet sometime this afternoon, and it's probably fair to assume whatever decision was made was relayed to Wulff at that point.
Like pretty much everything else that's been released over the course of the last few days, you can read into this what you like. As I said earlier, I've seen a lot of press conferences to "discuss the future of x" and they almost always mean a change. But I've been surprised before and at this point, it's anyone's guess.
And so we wait again.
