If you've got a soft spot for those who serve our country, this offer is for you.
The WSU Athletic Department is offering the opportunity for fans to donate discounted tickets to veterans and active military at Fairchild Air Force Base through the Veterans Tickets Foundation for the Utah game at Martin Stadium on Nov. 19.
Here's how it works: You buy the tickets here using the code "HONOR" for either $25 for a sideline ticket or $15 for an end zone ticket and WSU will make sure it gets into the hands of a veteran or active duty personnel. Your purchase is fully tax deductible; the receipt will be mailed to you.
This continues an effort by WSU to connect with the military personnel in the area, as athletics director Bill Moos and football coach Paul Wulff traveled up to Fairchild about a month ago to meet some of the service men and women and personally invite them to the Utah game, which is being designated Armed Forces Day. WSU is even going to provide transportation to and from the game for base personnel.
The video above chronicles that trip up to Fairchild; after the jump, you can watch Wulff and Moos fly (fake) airplanes!
