Marshall Lobbestael Shreds UNLV Secondary, Cougs Win 59-7

Another week, another blowout win for the Cougars. While last week was a lot of fun, today's win is much more rewarding. First, it came over an FBS team and second, they did it without losing their starting quarterback to injury.

Speaking of starting quarterbacks, Marshall Lobbestael was simply fantastic. The senior threw for 361 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75 percent of his passes.

Lobbestael wasn't the only Cougar who put up video game like numbers. Rickey Galvin gained 80 yards on just five carries for a nifty 16.0 yards per carry. Marquess Wilson and Kristoff Williams each averaged over 20.0 yards per catch.

If there was a negative, it was the special teams. They allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown, had a FG blocked and kicked two kickoffs out of bounds. Irrelevant in the scope of this game, these are issues that need to get fixed before the opponents get tougher.

We will be back with more on this game later this weekend and throughout next week.
