Awspilke wins week 5 of the CougCenter pick'em pool

For the second time this year, awspilke rises above the chaos to win this week's CougCenter's College Football Pick'Em Pool. Unfortunately, he doesn't win the prize. Read on for why ...

As a reward for being either absolutely brilliant or extremely lucky, awspilke normally would get a $10 gift certificate to Gameday Depot. However, because he won a prize in the last 30 days, he's ineligible to win this week. That means the prize will go to the second place finisher, Dshirley.

For the rest of us -- some of whom, like me, really suck at this sort of thing -- remember, you can still get either (1) officially licensed Washington State Cougars merchandise at the CougCenter licensed store, or (2) your very own custom tees at the CougCenter custom store.

Dshirley, look for a confirmation email with instructions on how to claim your prize. If you don't respond within three business days, the rules require us to award the prize to the next person on the list.

There is still a $50 gift certificate up for grabs to whoever finishes first for the entire season, so keep playing.

This week's top ten and the season's full standings are below. Johnnycougar still has a four-point lead, but Dshirley is closing in. I bolded the authors' names below so you can admire Sherwood and laugh at the rest of us -- especially Preston, who oddly enough couldn't seem to find time on his honeymoon to enter picks.
