In what has been a wild Apple Cup, Washington State and Washington are headed to overtime, tied 28-28.
The Huskies had a chance to win at the end of regulation but Travis Coons missed a 35-yard field goal attempt. The Cougars tied the game with less than two minutes to play and Keith Price drove the Huskies into field goal range, but Coons was unable to capitalize.
The game has gone back-and-forth with both teams exploding for bursts of points. Washington appeared to have blown the game open with a 21-0 run, but WSU came right back with an 18-0 run to tie it. The Huskies dominated the third quarter, but the Cougars were equally dominant in the fourth quarter.
The Apple Cup will now be decided in overtime with Washington opening the extra period with the ball. It's the Cougars, however, who have all of the momentum heading into overtime.
