The Cougars had just completed the largest comeback in the rivalry’s 105-year history at the end of a downtrodden season. His second was that he hoped there would be no altercations. There was at least one, and he’s irritated by it.

Washington State 64, Idaho 55: The Cougars were miserable from 3-point land against their close counterparts. Luckily for Washington State, it had the size inside to make up for its outside game. The Cougars (4-3) went 3 for 17 from 3-point range but made 23 of their remaining 40 shots, with Brock Motum leading the way. Motum had 26 points and nine rebounds as Washington State took control five minutes into the game and led for the duration. Kyle Barone led Idaho (1-4) with 11 points and eight rebounds.
