Hot Cougar Action: Ranking WSU in the Pac-12

Washington State is seven games into the season, but where would you rank the Cougars in the Pac-12?

James Snook-US PRESSWIRE

The WSU men's basketball team returns to the court tonight to face the Portland Pilots, but before they do let's take a look at where they stand in the Pac-12.

ESPN's Jason King released some Pac-12 rankings on Friday and WSU checked in at No. 11. The Cougars were just behind the Huskies but ahead of the Utah Utes. Here is what King had to say about WSU.

11. Washington State. The Cougars' season was basically over the day Ken Bone kicked point guard Reggie Moore off the team. Washington State didn't have a replacement. Kansas transfer Royce Woolridge is trying his hardest, but he's averaging just 6.9 points while shooting 35 percent from the field. He should be a role player, not a starter. Bone, though, doesn't have any choice.

Yikes. WSU's 4-3 start hasn't won over a lot of skeptics, but do you agree with King on the No. 11 ranking?
