Men's Basketball

The WSU men's basketball team will play a rather large basketball game tonight as the Cougars host Gonzaga. While the game against Kansas provided a marquee opponent, tonight's game is easily the most anticipated of the non-conference schedule.

In addition to the links below, we'll have plenty more on the matchup with the Zags today. That includes a pregame Google Plus hangout which is slated to begin at 7 p.m. PT. There is probably a 70 percent chance Nusser goes off on a rant about zone defense and you will not want to miss that.

Football Recruiting

Marquel Combs, who is considered to be one of the top JUCO players in the country, is down to four school and one of them is WSU. Combs holds more than 50 offers, but is down to WSU, Kansas, Kansas State and Houston. Penn State offered last week, but apparently got the cold shoulder. LOL U MAD PSU?

Combs (Woodland Hills, Calif./Pierce College) already has spent official visits on Kansas, Ole Miss, Washington State and Kansas State. As a result, the Nittany Lions no longer appear to be in the running.

WSU Athletics

WSU fans have a reputation of showing well in contests and that held true in a recent contest in Yakima. Cougar fans out voted Husky fans in a contest last week and the result is the city turning into "Cougarville" for a week. Streets will be striped with Crimson and Gray and flags will be flown. Bill Moos may not have converted Spokane yet, but hey at least we have Yakima.
