HOT COUGAR ACTION: Cougs Advance To The Third Round Of The CBI

Craig recapped the game that was last night and official stats can be found here. I have a few statistical notes before we get to interviews and highlights.

  • WSU's moves on to face Oregon State for the fourth time this season. As far as I can tell, it will be the first time WSU has played an opponent four or more times in a season since the 1962-63 season.
  • Brock Motum now has 609 points this season tying him with Klay Thompson for the fourth highest single season total in WSU history. Motum is now 125 points shy of Thompson's single season record. If WSU advances to the CBI final, Motum will likely finish with the second highest point total for a season.
  • Reggie Moore's 34 minutes played moved him past Taylor Rochestie for 18th place on the WSU career minutes played leaderboard. With a healthy senior season, Moore will leave WSU as the career leader in minutes.
  • As BigWood pointed out in the gamethread, this win ensures WSU will finish .500 or better for the sixth straight season. The longest streak of .500+ seasons in school history is 14 (1929-1942).
