HOT COUGAR ACTION: Cougars Set For Day Two Of Spring Football

The football team returns to Rogers practice field today for their second of 15 spring practices. During the first practice, Mike Leach said they were able to install about a third of the offensive playbook with a goal of installing another third today. If you are in Pullman and are interested in checking it out, practice is scheduled for 10:10 a.m.

Beyond football, The Daily News in Longview has an interesting feature story on WSU pitcher Nick LaRoy. LaRoy was likely headed for a professional career out of high school before Tommy John surgery delayed those plans. The story covers his comeback from injury, but also the commitment Donnie Marbut made after LaRoy had surgery. LaRoy's numbers this season are not impressive, but it will be interesting to see if he can regain his high school form with included a 27-0 record. Also this:
