The NBA regular season concluded Thursday which means Klay Thompson's rookie season is now in the books. Thompson finished the season with a 17 point, 6 assist and 5 rebound effort in 29 minutes.

Early in the season, Thompson struggled with inconsistent playing time, but a midseason trade opened the door and he took advantage of the opportunity. On the season, Thompson averaged 12.7 PPG, 2.4 RPG and 2.0 APG while shooting 44.3 percent from the floor and 41.4 percent on 3-pointers.

When the Warriors traded Monta Ellis, it opened up the starting shooting guard position for Thompson. He started the final 28 games of the season during which he averaged 18.6 PPG, 3.3 RPG and 3.0 APG. Kyrie Irving will likely win the NBA Rookie of the Year award but Thompson could finish as high as second.

Many of the European pro leagues are still playing, but when they finish I will track down the numbers for another alumni update.
