Phil Steele released his pre-season All-Pac-12 team yesterday and six Cougars made the list. Steele's pre-season teams include first through fourth team. There are 12 positions on both offense and defense.
On the offensive side of things, Jeff Tuel checked in as the fourth team quarterback. Matt Barkley, Keith Price and Matt Scott filled out the first through third teams. Marquess Wilson nabbed one of the three first team wide receiver slots, as he should have. Finally, John Fullington made second team offensive tackle.
Defensively, two WSU players made the list. Travis Long is listed as one of the four first team linebackers. It doesn't look like Steele is too worried about Long's new role in the defense. Deone Bucannon also made Steele's list as a third team safety.
Finally, Andrew Furney check in as the second team kicker. USC's Andre Heidari was Steele's first team kicker. Last season, six WSU players made Steele's pre-season list although none made the first team.
