It was pretty easy to see this one coming, but safety-turned-linebacker Max Gama has left the team following an injury-plagued year-and-a-half. Gama injured his hand last season and redshirted before sitting out all of spring this season.
The news was first reported by Cougfan, who received a text from Gama.
"It was injury related," Gama told CF.C via text. "I've decided to continue my schooling closer to home."
Christian Caple confirmed the news with WSU, as well.

In terms of what it means ... well, not a whole lot at this point. It is worth reminding everyone again, though, that scholarship situations and number crucnhes tend to work themselves out. The Cougars were going to be over the 85-man limit heading into fall camp, with the new class joining the team, but now appears to be set, or pretty close to it.*
*Mark runs these numbers. I'm lazily making him do it again.
