HOT COUGAR ACTION: News And Notes

New, 12 comments

Not a lot of Cougar news to cover today, but there are a couple of WSU related items I've been meaning to mention.

First, the Seattle Mariners will be hosting WSU alumni night at Safeco Field on Saturday June 9. The Mariners are playing the Dodgers that day with first pitch scheduled for 4:15 p.m. PT. If you buy your ticket through this link, you can get a view reserved ticket for $20 (regular $25). You'll also get the t-shirt below and $2 of ever ticket will go to WSU student scholarships.

If you are more interested in watching WSU events than Mariners games, you are probably looking forward to the launch of the Pac-12 Network(s). The networks launch in August and if you use this link, you can find out if your local cable provider will carry the networks. A quick search shows Comcast will carry the networks in the Seattle area but if you have Direct TV or Dish Network you might be out of luck.

How well do you know coach Mike Leach, and how will he do at Washington State? I know him pretty well. I think he’ll do well. Mike came and visited us in Miami when he was an assistant for Hal Mumme at a small school.
