Roughly a week ago, Kyle wrote this post about potential quarterback recruit Baker Mayfield. While WSU is apparently still in contention for Mayfield, they may be close to landing another quarterback recruit. Tyler Bruggman has WSU in his final two and might be leaning toward the Cougars as he nears a decision.

Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic has the latest on Bruggman's decision. Bruggman texted Obert Friday morning and said, "It looks like I'll have to commit in the next few days." Bruggman recently took an unofficial visit to Pullman, which Obert detailed below.

Bruggman's most extensive unofficial recruiting visit was at Washington State, where he shadowed coach Mike Leach for a day. He spent four days in Pullman, getting a feel for campus life and the Leach's dynamic offense, which seems to suit Bruggman well.

Bruggman is rated as a four-star recruit by, and As for where he will ultimately decide to play, Obert thinks WSU may be the current leader.

I keep going back and forth on this. One day, I'm thinking Washington State, the next ASU. Right now, I'll guess the Cougars.

It sounds like it won't be long until we find out if Obert is correct.
