There were two arrests over the past weekend and while Travis Long's MIP is probably pretty straightforward, one had to wonder what led to Anthony Laurenzi's theft charge. Laurenzi was arrested on Sunday night at around 7:30 p.m. at Walmart for theft in the third degree. We now know what happened.
Christian Caple has the details.
Tennant said police were called to Walmart after employee witnessed Laurenzi take headphones out of a package and hide them on his person.

Laurenzi then tried to leave, and was confronted in parking lot where he admitted to theft, Tennant said. Headphones were priced at $57.88.

And that seems pretty open and shut. An employee saw him take the item, he was confronted about it, and he admitted to it.
If you'll recall, theft is one of Mike Leach's third rails. It's about trust, and stealing something breaks that trust. It wouldn't at all be a surprise to see him dismissed, if everything is as it seems.
Edit: Don't carry beers around Greek Row, y'all.
On Travis Long's MIP -- Tennant said an officer on a bicycle saw Long holding a beer can in Greek Row area, then issued citation.
