As three different headlines linked below said in some fashion, "Mike Leach stole the show." Leach was the talk of the media sessions and was also the focus of several stories. The LA Times covered media day and the lead of the story wasn't USC or even UCLA related, it was all about Leach.

While Leach may be in the headlines, Jeff Tuel was also at media day spoke to Scott Enyeart after the media session.

Before this week, the last time Mike Leach was at a media day was in 2009 when the then Texas Tech coach proposed a 64-team playoff system. Leach didn't make any wild playoff proposals at his first Pac-12 media day Tuesday, but he did talk about bear hunting partners, Civil War generals and which Pac-12 coach would make the best fishing partner.
