But as fall camp fever begins to spread by the day, we do have some basketball news to get to. WSU released the 2012-13 schedule Thursday, complete with dates for all 31 regular season games.
The highlights include the season opener against Eastern Washington, the CBE Classic game against Kansas and the December 5 home game against Gonzaga. In conference play, WSU will only Utah, Colorado, California and Stanford once each.

Washington State quarterback Jeff Tuel got to know the Cougars training staff really well last season. In WSU's opener against Idaho State, Tuel fractured his left clavicle, an injury that would sideline him for over a month. When Tuel finally returned to action in October, the then-junior quarterback only lasted two weeks before aggravating the injury in a game against Oregon State. Tuel also suffered a bruised calf against the Beavers and when he got the calf checked out, he was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome . Just like that, Tuel's season was over.
