The launch of the Pac-12 Networks is just minutes away. This is a momentous step for the conference. In honor of the launch, the Pac-12 has unveiled an extensive redesign of their website, including a brand new name.
The website once known as Pac-12.Org, is now available at Pac-12.Com.
The main difference you'll notice now, is how the video now takes center stage. The site is fully integrated with the Pac-12 Networks digital portal, including links to view the streaming networks and featured videos getting top billing.
The new site also has a very intuitive schedule feature. The feature allows you to view games scheduled for each sport and see what channel they'll be shown on. If the game is being broadcast on a Pac-12 Network, you are able to click on a link and view the live video automatically.
To celebrate and publicize the launch, Kirk Reynolds, Vice President of Communications at Pac-12 Enterprises, sent us an email with a link to an exclusive interview with Mike Leach. That video, along with some impressive facts about the upcoming networks, is available below the jump.
We’re proud to report that Pac-12.com is live!
And to help celebrate this occasion for all Washington State fans who read your blog, we wanted to share an exclusive two-minute football preview show, which you can find here.
Pac-12.com gives fans 24/7, personalized access to hundreds of live events, feature stories and other thrilling content – at home or on the go. The website is the online home of Pac-12 Networks, which begins broadcasting at 6 p.m. PT from San Francisco. Here’s what you can expect to find on Pac-12.com.
- Thrilling sports. And lots of it. Pac-12.com will offer thousands of hours of live streaming events, off-the-field reporting and pre- and post-game analysis.
- Pac-12 Now, our new TV Everywhere experience, gives fans who subscribe to one of Pac-12’s 24 television distributors access to more than 850 live events and other programs. Fans can begin watching at video.pac-12.com, through a new iPad app in the coming weeks or through mobile devices later this fall. Fans simply authenticate with the credentials provided by their television provider.
- A schedule to end all schedules. We’ve introduced a comprehensive schedule that helps fans find out when their favorite Pac-12 team plays and where they can find them on their television dial or on Pac-12.com.
- Help for getting Pac-12 Networks. Want to find out if your television provider is offering Pac-12 Networks? Our interactive channel finder helps you find out whether any of our seven networks are on your television dial and, if not, how you can contact your television provider to sign up.
We’ll continue introducing new Pac-12.com features and content in the coming weeks. Please let me know if I can provide any further information or introduce you to any of the folks who are working on Pac-12.com behind the scenes.
Thanks,
Kirk
