SB Nation's BlogPoll Top 25 college football rankings for Week 2 are live, and Alabama remains in the top spot. The LSU Tigers rise to No. 2, jumping the USC Trojans. It's entirely possible that CougCenter's Southern Cal-free ballot may have played a non-minor role in the Fall of Troy.
The biggest mover came from the Pac-12, as UCLA went from 41st in the "others receiving votes" section to an appearance at 20th in the poll this week. The Bruins upset the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and essentially took their spot in the rankings.
CougCenter got yet another mention in the Wack Ballot Watchdog section, as we were part of a small group who saw fit to rank the Ohio State Buckeyes near the top. One blog even had tOSU at number one:
Ohio State's first-place vote isn't actually that much of an outlier: while One Bronco Nation Under God tossed the Buckeyes on top of the heap, two other blogs, resume hardliner Black Heart Gold Pants and formula-based voter CougCenter each slotted Ohio State in at No. 2.
In total, there were five Pac-12 teams in the top 25, with Oregon State just missing the cut at No. 27 following their victory over Wisconsin. The SEC led the way with six teams in the rankings.
