WSU Vs. UNLV: Community Prediction

When ESPN picked this game for their Friday night schedule, they were probably hoping for better circumstances. Not only has Washington State started slower than expected under Mike Leach, but now they may also be without starting quarterback Jeff Tuel. At the same time UNLV looks awful, coming off a 17-14 home loss to Northern Arizona.

UNLV Profile:

2012 record: 0-2

2012 S&P ratings: 161.0 (WSU: 182.4)

2012 home record: 0-2

Preseason prediction: WSU (71 percent), UNLV (29 percent)

Last week: Lost 17-14 to Northern Arizona

All-time record vs. WSU: 0-5

After WSU beat UNLV 59-7 last season, I was a little surprised to see UNLV collect 29 percent of the vote during the offseason prediction. Now that we know a little bit more about both teams in 2012, that result doesn't seem very far off. Then again there are always predictions like this.

WSU 84, UNLV 10
