HOT COUGAR ACTION: Monday Morning Trivia

The CCMMTQ is back for another week after a solid debut last week. If you missed it then and aren't sure how this works, this is what I wrote last week.

Every Monday, through basketball season, I'll post a trivia question. Everyone gets one guess, unless I otherwise note in the comments. Looking up answers in the media guide or anywhere is against the rules. If you do so, you'll be banned (not really, but don't do it). I'll list the point value of each question and then award full or partial points to the first correct answer(s).

We're going with two questions today, each of which will be worth 10 points.

Q1: WSU opened the season on the road with a loss to BYU, when was the last season WSU opened the season with a road win?

Q2: Who was the last BCS conference school WSU defeated, not including any in-conference victories?

Here are the standings after one week:

1. RochestieForThree - 15

2. Bearcat44 - 10

3. 2,396-way tie - 0.01

2399. Kyle Rancourt - 0

Leach speaks, other WSU notes - SportsLink - Spokesman.com - Sept. 2, 2012
Now that the season has started, it seems we're going to see shorter practices, as coach Mike Leach is want to do once games are played. So the Cougars practiced for about an hour and a half on Sunday, and we have plenty of notes to pass along from the session.

1. It won't happen overnight: An uninspired performance from Washington State -- which fell at BYU 30-6 -- puts a bit of a damper on all of that excitement the Cougars had following the hiring of Mike Leach.
