Hot Cougar Action: Basketball power rankings

The beginning of the week brings power rankings and we take a closer look at where WSU stands in the latest morning links.

US PRESSWIRE

Men's basketball

The WSU men's basketball team keeps winning, but wins over the likes of Buffalo, Jackson State and Idaho State have done little to help them move up the power rankings. WSU checked in at No. 11 in the latest rankings from Inside Bay Area.

11. Washington State (9-4): The Cougars have won seven of their past eight, dropping only a two-point decision to regional rival Gonzaga. Senior Brock Motum has scored at least 23 points in five of the past seven games. But there isn't enough else here.

Football

Another day, another look back at a bowl from WSU athletics. Today is a recap of the 1916 Rose Bowl.
