A tough season got a lot worse on Friday when the WSU women's basketball team lost to 2-16 Oregon.

Women's basketball

The WSU women's basketball team lost to Oregon Friday, 70-68. While you may think, "ah, close loss, not too bad" remember this wasn't a good Oregon team they lost to. Instead WSU lost at home to a previously 2-16 Oregon team. This line from Addicted to Quack doesn't make it look any better.

In what has been an all-around disaster of a season for the Oregon women's basketball program, we finally saw a moment we didn't think would come. The Ducks have won a conference game.

Men's basketball

The men's team wraps up the road series with the Oregon schools when they take on Oregon State today at 2 p.m. PT with the game being televised on the Pac-12 Network. The biggest question to me isn't whether the Coguars will win, it's whether or not Chris, the OSU radio stat guy is still employed.

Conference Power Rankings: Pac-12 - Men's College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN
11. Washington State. The Cougars' lone Pac-12 victory came Jan. 16 against Utah. Washington State is still showing a lot of fight, but it's just not making a difference on the scoreboard. The Cougars simply don't have enough good players. Brock Motum (18.8 points) and Mike Ladd (11.2) lead Ken Bone's team in scoring.

Baseball

Hey baseball season is almost here. Maybe a sport WSU won't be terrible at! The Cougs began practice on Friday in what will hopefully result in a return to the College World Series.
