The Washington State Cougars host the Washington Huskies as the two teams open their conference schedules on Saturday night at Frield Court. The game will be televised at 6:40 p.m. on ESPNU.
The Cougars have rebounded a bit after a second-straight year the featured a three-game losing streak in non-conference play. WSU's only loss since falling at the buzzer to Texas A&M in the CBE Classic consolation game was a last-second defeat to Gonzaga. The Cougars have taken care of business otherwise, and have risen to No. 76 in Mr. Pomeroy's rankings.
UW struggled in non-conference play, with losses to Nevada and Albany at home. The Huskies have played just two true road games. The first was a win over Seattle in KeyArena. The other was a loss to Connecticut.
