When you think of the best in Washington State athletics related radio broadcasts, you don't have many to choose from. Here's hoping this show at least gets near the podium.
The Cougs got the job done in Berkeley with a 44-22 win, proving they aren't the Pac-12's doormat anymore. Halfway through the season, WSU is two-thirds of the way to bowl eligibility with at least two winnable games to get them to the magic bowl number of six. One of them is coming up this weekend against an Oregon St. Beavers team that, after an opening loss to Eastern Washington, is back on track themselves with a high scoring offense.
We've got a big treat this week as well. We'll talk to former WSU quarterback Mark Rypien about his thoughts on Mike Leach, Connor Halliday and where his nephew Brett Rypien will end up going to college. Plus, Mark will chat with us about his appearance on Golf Channel's Big Break NFL: Puerto Rico which premiered on Tuesday. New episodes will air every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. for the rest of the season and Rypien will compete against former NFL greats like Jery Rice, Tim Brown and Chris Doleman.
