On a usual week, Mike Leach and WSU players meet the media on Monday. Coming off the bye week and with an upcoming Thursday game, the Cougars are working with a different schedule this week.
The staff is ignoring the days of the week and instead treating next Thursday like a Saturday. That means that instead of meeting the media next Monday, Mike Leach and three players held their press conferences on Thursday. Oregon, ASU and Halloween were among the popular topics.

While the Cougars have adjusted their practice schedule this week to accommodate next week's Thursday night game, Washington State still held its weekly Thursday Night Football practice at the regular time. The event, which follows a normal practice, is a full-contact scrimmage for the team's younger players.
